The World of Wall & Ceiling murals
The database covers the period between the Gothic Age to the end of the 19th century. It holds approximately 40,000 slides, which are preserved by the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte in Munich. All slides have been digitalized within the last years and put into an ime database.
The archive of the World of Ornaments
The archive consists of 5,000 motifs based on of the two greatest encyclopedic collections of ornament from the 19th century chromo-lithographic tradition: Auguste Racinet's “L'Ornement polychrome Volumes I and II“ from 1875-1888 and “M. Dupont-Auberville's L'Ornement des tissus” from 1877. Edited by the renowned Taschen Verlag this unique collection has been digalized in high resolution and is available in a search engine.
