The IOF specializes on research and development of Frescography technologies and to improve the public interest in mural artwork, ultimately advancing the standards of preserving a national mural heritage for the future.

Frescography defines the procedure of digitaly reproducing mural artwork, by either reassembling image elements or recreating exisiting murals.

The technique is supported by CAM (computer aided mural) software programs such as the Virtual design Studio© and Artshop©.
